The second theme I identified is the use of neutral and blue colours with accents of bright orange/yellow. Also geometric themes are very prominent along with techniques of applique and embroidery. For this theme I created another bedding design, some curtains and co-ordinating cushions.

Sartex homeware brief
After an interview with Sartex home textile company, I was given a mini brief to design some homeware products of my choice using the trends I thought were current. The first trend I identified was the city of London theme. I noticed the emphasis on the use of colours from the union jack flag an inplemented these ideas into some duvet designs and co-ordinating cushions.

Final designs
Just a small selection of final designs suited to a t-shirt placement print, as you can see in the example at the end I have also continued the design to wrap around the body, playing with imagery that interacts with the shape of this garment.

Scarf designs
As part of a last minute competition I put together some scarf designs that aim to reflect my university environment. I couldnt resist a few flowers creeping into the first design but the rest are entirely made of buildings (with a few people if you can spot them) I've submitted the last design as my final one.

Lamps, Lamps and lamps
Digitally printed the one lamp onto habotai silk and made it (with a lot of help from Mum putting it together) which is now decorating my family living room.
Although you can't tell the on the other images I have designed them to be flocked, foiled and laser cut in areas to make them a bit more exciting!
Final Blinds!
Here are a selection of my final blinds which I will be submitting in a couple of days. They all measure to 90x160cm perfect for a single window.
